Program Director – Gun Violence Prevention Program

The Program Director – GVP is responsible for representing the program as the Community Backbone and for building the Community Coalition of organizations and agencies that are committed to addressing this problem. The Program Director – GVP will develop and implement the Youth Advisory Board and, with their input and oversight, the community strategy. The Program Director – GVP has responsibility for GVP program operations, as well as the program budget, data collection and reporting, and the administrative aspects of the GVP program. Works in direct, partnership with Senior Director and Program Director of Pittsfield Community Connection to oversee and maximize the coordination and collaboration of gang intervention and gun violence prevention programming, efforts, and services.

Qualification Requirements:
Education: MSW or equivalent, strongly preferred.
Minimum Required: Associates Degree or higher in human services or related field.
Experience: 2-3 years of program-supervisory experience working within the local community agencies and employers in a human services capacity. Gun violence and/or gang intervention/prevention experience preferred. Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
License(s) Required: LSW, LICSW, preferred.
