Employment Manager – Gun Violence Prevention Program

The Employment Manager works with youth (program participants) and GVP Case Manager to assess participant job-readiness, aptitudes and interests; consults with the GVP Case Manager on skill-building to create job-readiness plans for program participants. The Employment Manager serves as liaison in the community to meet/engage business owners and prospective employers; orient them to the GVP program and mission; and develop and maintain relationships/arrangements for youth in the program to receive training, subsidized employment and/orjobs.
Qualification Requirements:
Education Required: B.A. in education, human services, or related field strongly preferred.
Minimum Required: High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2-5 years’ experience with community employment training/assessment/placement for youth populations in organizational, institutional and educational settings.
Experience: Gun violence prevention and/or gang intervention/prevention experience preferred; Strong computer and internet skills including, Microsoft Office; Strong interpersonal communication skills.
License(s) Required: NIA
