  • Coordinate assignments and responsibility while providing supportive services for Healing Homes and Adoption Management Services (AMS) family resource work.
  • Recruit and screen prospective applicants for both foster care and adoption services, preparing them for licensing.
  • Organize and facilitate MAPP for foster and adoptive applicants for both Healing Homes and AMS. Write home study and license study for Healing Homes applicants.
  • Coordinate with and support Social Workers and Case Managers at Foster Care Reviews, home visits, intake meetings, discharge planning meetings, transportation, etc.
  • Manage referrals from Department of Children and Families area offices. Interview children and youth in need of placement and participate in case assignments.
  • Monthly home visits of licensed Healing Homes foster parents. Complete limited reassessments when foster family experiences a significant event. Complete Annual Assessments in a timely manner. Approve events on Virtual Gateway.
  • Build strong working relationships with foster parents to include constructive feedback, and professional boundaries, including having difficult conversations when necessary to promote better efficacy of foster parent skills. These tasks will mirror supervisory skills in the development and maintenance of professional, effective foster parents.

Qualification Requirements:
Minimum Education Required: BA in Social Work, Human Services, or related field.

Experience: Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills in work with foster parents, strong ability to build rapport with children, youth and families, excellent time-management and organizational skills. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

The Artistic Director is a unique position that combines the best of music instruction and pedagogy; with a passion for helping students and families through a social justice lens. In this role you will use your management skills to provide programmatic and budget oversight and staff supervision while collaborating in shared decision making with Senior Leadership and program staff to ensure alignment with the mission and vision of 18 Degrees. We seek a strong leader, who is proactive and believes in the power of music as a catalyst for social change. This El Sistema-inspired music program is on-site at two elementary schools, Pittsfield and North Adams. This position supports musical and social-emotional skill development of students, coordinates the needs of families, provides staff leadership, supports all aspects of program oversight, administration, and program development. The right candidate must have strong public speaking skills and the ability to connect with others across a variety of domains, from professional musicians, students and families to donors and the community.

Key Responsibilities of Kids 4 Harmony Artistic Director include:

  • Maintaining a positive, structured learning environment that engages and inspires students.
  • Coordinating student concerts and performances opportunities that benefit student growth and expand opportunities.
  • Committing to serving diverse student populations with a focus on musical excellence, student well-being and family support.
  • Engaging with donors & supporters, including school personnel, promoting the value of the program and the mission of the agency.
  • Serving as a key player on the Annual Kids 4 Harmony Gala Committee.
  • Managing program staff, volunteers, and interns; and participating in agency meetings, projects and events.
  • Overseeing program development and community partnerships, as well as regional, national, and international opportunities.
  • Identifying and pursuing musical opportunities for students and supporting families.
  • Complying with grant objectives, organize data to tell the program’s story effectively and manage all aspects of finances and budget.
  • Sustaining a strong knowledge of standard music pedagogy; excellent musicianship and demonstrated skills as a music educator/performer; experience leading and conducting ensembles.

  • The Family Support Worker is responsible for organizing and facilitating educational and support groups for youth and parents, providing community outreach, and assisting people to access community resources.
  • Must be able to work with diverse populations, network and build relationships, and work effectively as a team member.
  • Knowledge of parenting skills and child development, strong organizational and communication skills a must.
  • Experience working with individuals and families and familiarity of community resources required.
  • Must be able to utilize computer-based information systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Some Saturdays and evenings required.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 months to 1-year experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
  • Proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of Sage Intacct or similar accounting system helpful.
  • Knowledge of the accounting cycle.
  • Strong reconciliation, analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented and team player.

Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years related experience preferred.
Minimum Required Experience: Experience working with families and networking with professionals. Relevant lived experience is desirable but not required.

  • Working as part of the Finance Team, the primary job function of the Accounting Clerk is the day- to-day accounting functions for the agency.
  • Code and enter all accounts payable invoices for entire agency, allocate costs to appropriate programs and detailed descriptions when performing data entry.
  • Manages and maintains the cash receipts for the entire agency including reconciling, posting the weekly deposit, and posting all electronic payments received through Vendor Web.
  • Manage and maintain the childcare parent fees accounting including weekly billing, payments, and reconciliation against monthly EEC billing.
  • Collects billing details and manages monthly billing for the agency’s rate-based contracts.
  • Billing process includes collecting and organizing billing data throughout the month, creating productivity spreadsheets, and reconciling balances to verify accuracy.
  • Creates and posts journal entries to allocate costs and reconcile discrepancies

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 months to 1-year experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll

  • Connect with K4H families and students in a positive, welcoming, and inclusive manner
  • Increase awareness of community resources and referrals to all K4H family members through newsletters, emails, phone calls, and text messages
  • Organizes introductory meetings with families at the beginning of the year.
  • Integrate agency best practices into ongoing activities and materials for staff, families and students
  • Coordinate aspects of the social emotional learning (SEL)curriculum materials devised from best practices to have continuity between program sites. Conduct skills groups based on this material and support the program overall to integrate these practices.
  • Work with specific families on individual needs as required
  • Develop relationships with community partners by attending meetings throughout year (monthly community forums, Northern Berkshire Youth and Family Collaborative meetings, etc.)

Data and service reporting

  • Regular reports of services and referrals provided to families.
  • Enter and maintain participant and family data in FamCare
  • Enter case notes and progress information into FamCare
