Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading groups with the LGBTQ+ community
  • Oversight of coordination and facilitation for Live Out Loud, A middle school age group and Pride play fun – including starting new youth groups, new partnerships and furthering work with this population
  • Liaison to the schools for support, education and engaging youth in our programs
  • Parent support and education groups
  • Supporting community initiatives and engagement for LGBTQ initiatives and advocacy
  • Help to keep our web site and marketing materials up to date for this programming
  • Co-lead a new mentoring initiative to support GLBTQ youth
  • Assessing for community need and reporting back to the agency/giving feedback on new initiatives as appropriate
  • Taking initiative with youth support/ engagement and recruitment
  • Facilitating pride events, fun activities for youth, engaging in suicide education and prevention work
  • Maintain demographics, service numbers and report data monthly

Qualification Requirements:

  • Education: B.A. in related field preferred, but not required. High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant experience is required.
  • Experience: Working with youth development programs, Lived experience with LGBTQ strongly preferred.

  • Oversee the general business management of the childcare programs.
  • Ensure contracted obligations for using a variety of subsidized slots to assist families to obtain and manage the cost of their care.
  • Manage and coordinate intake paperwork, demographic and various other database inputs.
  • Remain in contact and up to date with all EEC regulations related to billing and parent fees.
  • Coordinate ongoing contacts with external providers related to contracts such as MA 211, DCF, Seven Hills, etc.
  • Manage day to day operations of the Cook/Nutritionist.
  • Collaborate with finance team on contracts, billing, ordering and reporting for the food program.
  • Report regularly on expenses and enrollment as well as reporting requirements for the agency’s grants and contracts as needed.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Education: A.A. required; B.A. in related Accounting or Finance field preferred, but not required.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years’ experience in operations management. Excellent Excel skills and ability to manage large amounts of information and data; contract management, supervisory experience.

  • The Family Support Worker (FSW) is responsible for organizing and facilitating educational and support groups for youth and parents, providing community outreach, and assisting people to access community resources.
  • Must be able to work with diverse populations, network and build relationships, and work effectively as a team member.
  • Knowledge of parenting skills and child development, strong organizational and communication skills a must.
  • Experience working with individuals and families and familiarity for community resources required.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish essential.
  • Some Saturdays and evenings required.

Qualification Requirements: Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with families and work independently as well as part of a team. Effective communication, organizational and facilitation skills required. Must be able to utilize computer based information systems and maintain accurate records. Must have the ability to participate in ongoing research of local resources and maintain relationships with local providers.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associates with 4 years experience

Minimum Required Experience: Experience working with families and networking with professionals. Some knowledge of community resources preferred.

Interested in providing clinical consultation/ coaching to program staff interfacing with youth facing community and interpersonal violence? The ideal candidate is a dynamic, skilled clinician with experience working with adolescents and young adults. STRONGLY PREFERRED:  Knowledge of the community and best practices/ multi-disciplinary approaches to trauma and violence. Ability to provide short term skill-based counseling to a small caseload to help bridge clients to a long-term clinician. Provide upstream interventions to increase resiliency through coordinated programs and services for prevention and intervention with communities, families and individuals.

This clinician will work with our Pittsfield Community Connection and West Main Connection Teams, working in both our Pittsfield, MA and North Adams, MA locations.

Must have at least the following:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field

  • Family Partner is a staff with lived experience assigned to the Family Resource Centers to provide supportive services to families and parents to advocate, support, educate, coach, and assist families in accomplishing their Care Plan goals and to negotiate and assist families in working with the Wraparound team and to help implement the Family Support Plan.
  • Family Partner works closely with the Child Requiring Assistance (CRA) System.
  • Knowledge of Pittsfield and surrounding communities required.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs, preferably a youth with mental health needs and or youth experiencing issues related to Child Requiring Assistance (CRA) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an accredited university and one year of experience working with the target population is preferred

Cello Teaching Artist for Kids 4 Harmony (North Adams and Pittsfield)
(Flexible hours – up to 15 hours/week)

  • The Cello Teaching Artist will work in our North Adams and/or Pittsfield sites (depending on
    availability) and can work 2-5 days a week up to 15 hours. There is flexibility with scheduling.
  • This teacher will teach fundamental technique on cello with beginning, intermediate, and advanced school-aged string ensembles and lessons focused on age-appropriate skill development for young musicians and building community through ensemble playing.
  • Instruction also includes private and semi-private lessons.
