PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES

Pay Range: $20 – $30/hour DOE [Maximum must have Master’s Degree]

  • The String Teaching Artist will work in our North Adams and/or Pittsfield sites (depending on availability) and can work 2-5 days a week up to 15 hours. There is flexibility with scheduling.
  • This teacher will teach fundamental technique on violin with beginning, intermediate, and advanced school-aged string ensembles and lessons focused on age-appropriate skill development for young musicians and building community through ensemble playing.
  • Instruction also includes private and semi-private lessons.
  • An ideal candidate will have experience with trauma-informed education and believe in music as a vehicle for social change. Some nights and weekends are required. Multi-cultural/multi-lingual applicants encouraged to apply.

  •  Connect with K4H families and students in a positive, welcoming, and inclusive manner
  • Increase awareness of community resources and referrals to all K4H family members through newsletters, emails, phone calls, and text messages
  • Organizes introductory meetings with families at the beginning of the year.
  • Integrate agency best practices into ongoing activities and materials for staff, families and students
  • Coordinate aspects of the social emotional learning (SEL)curriculum materials devised from best practices to have continuity between program sites. Conduct skills groups based on this material and support the program overall to integrate these practices.
  • Work with specific families on individual needs as required
  • Develop relationships with community partners by attending meetings throughout year (monthly community forums, Northern Berkshire Youth and Family Collaborative meetings, etc.)

Data and service reporting

  • Regular reports of services and referrals provided to families.
  • Enter and maintain participant and family data in FamCare
  • Enter case notes and progress information into FamCare
  • Assist with gathering information from families as needed
  • Implement student progress surveys and any surveys needed per funders

Pay Range: $ 50 hour

  • The Substance Use Prevention Clinician provides clinical consultation to program staff and the
    Youth Services Manager. Consultation primarily consists of embedding skills development into groups, activities and field trips; working from an upstream clinical perspective, recommending referrals for services, working with families as needed and brief intervention with youth to bolster positive coping skills.
  • Support group co-facilitation, working from a harm reduction framework.
  • Collaborating with Youth Services Manager to develop programming designed to develop resiliency in the LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Work from a harm reduction philosophy for positive physical and behavioral health outcomes.
  • Sexual health education, STI prevention and positive relationship development.

Collaboration with families when needed.

Qualification Requirements:

Education: Master’s level clinician; License preferred

Experience: Work with youth, children and families, understanding of harm reduction, LGBTQIA+ work highly preferred, working with teenagers preferred. Experience running groups or activities is helpful.

Other Required Knowledge: solid skills in MS Office, ability to administer and analyze data from evaluation tools, solid report writing skills.

Schedule: 8-10 hours as scheduled. After school hours primarily with some evening hours, possible weekend hours.
