Program Manager – Family Resource Center

The Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and management of the Family ResourceCenter (FRC) operations. The Manager is also responsible for ensuring coordination with the FRC’s Network Service providers; for managing other external community relations; and monitoring community needs. Primary attention and collaboration with the school system and juvenile courts as well as the DCF contract manager. The Manager provides administrative supervision for all FRC staff, including the Clinician, Family Partner, Family Support Workers, School Liaison, Group Childcare Workers, and other FRC program staff. Works with the Clinician to lead trauma informed and clinically competent services. The Manager will oversee coordination of FRC volunteers and work directly with family members and/ or youth, as needed. Responsibilities include regular reporting to the Program Director, contract manager and FRC Network on data management, tracking trends with the court and the Child Requiring Assistance [CRA] process, community at large, managing contract requirements and other administrative duties. Ensuring evidence based practice and fidelity to models used.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum Required Experience: Five year’s post graduate experience with children and families; [Preferred at least five year’s program development and supervisory experience in human services/related field.]
  • Other Experience: Experience living & working in the neighborhoods served, with an understanding of issues that those individuals and families face and awareness of the strengths families bring.

Case Manager Full-time – Community Youth Program


Too many of our youth are facing challenges that put them at risk. Join 18 Degrees in connecting our youth to opportunities and resources to live their promise and potential. Case Managers in our Pittsfield Community Connection (PCC) program help youth 17-24, including youth involved in/or at risk of gang activity, violence or other criminal behaviors to succeed and avoid negative impact on their futures. Through their relationship with the program participant and an assessment the Case Manager identifies participants’ needs, goals and strengths, tracks progress; coordinates needed services; provides referrals intra-agency and to other community based providers, and provides individualized support and advocacy. Required: Ability to build trusting relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries; knowledge and understanding of the systemic, socio-economic, educational, behavioral health and other challenges our youth confront including trauma and knowledge of gang culture; ability to meet individuals where they are; build community connections; and work as a member of a supportive team. Administrative Assistant and Data Coordinator for Childcare

Experience with intake responsibilities and billing/bookkeeping; strong organizational skills; and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and database management, a must.  Experience working with/under MA EEC (Early Education and Care) licensing standards, a plus. String Teaching Artist – Year Round

At 18 Degrees, we cultivate teams and leaders to embrace the principles of diversity, equity and inclusiveness to support the needs of our community. The String Teaching Artist will be teaching in-person five days a week in our Pittsfield and North Adams sites. This teacher will lead beginning and intermediate school-aged string ensembles and string lessons focused on age appropriate skill development for young musicians and building community through ensemble playing. This teacher will also be responsible for collaborating with the Artistic Director and other Teaching Artists regarding repertoire, concert planning, and musical assessment. A successful candidate will also be able to engage and support youth families who are struggling with poverty and other stressors. Experience in violin, viola, or c llo, teaching music, and a belief in music as a vehicle for social change is a must. Position also includes administrative duties during the day where the teacher must be able to work on several projects at once and meet deadlines.
