Service Coordinators drive the everyday work of Family Networks and are responsible for the placement and case management of youth in various programs.

The role:

  • Manages caseloads of families, children and youth
  • Develops and maintains a strong partnership with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), agencies, programs and families
  • Coordinates services to achieve goals and outcomes of services identified in the DCF service plans
  • Monitors service implementation; and ensures coordination with providers and DCF

Associates Degree required, BA in a social work or a related field preferred. Experience required: family-centered welfare related experience, and/or community-based experience. Home Visitor/Peer Recovery Coach for Parents as Teachers

This is a home visiting role with a peer recovery component (peer recovery training will be provided/required).  The right candidate uses their own lived experience to better connect and engage with individuals who are or have been affected by substance abuse [directly or indirectly].  Individuals with personal, lived recovery experience are encouraged to apply. The position provides evidence-based programming to families throughout Berkshire County. BA in early childhood or related field preferred; experience as home visitor may substitute. Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President of Youth Development Programs oversees Pittsfield Community Connection and West Main Connection programs, which  provide a pathway to a safer, healthier, and more prosperous life for youth aged 10- to 24-years-old by surrounding them with support to overcome challenging circumstances.  This position will also oversee our Arts Expression programming, which provides youth a positive outlet of expression through a variety of media to create confidence, understanding and healing. While ensuring we meet contractual and regulatory requirements of our youth development programs, you will support our program participants, ensure our prevention and intervention activities serve individuals, households, and communities, and build the community collaborations that lead to systems change. As a member of the Senior Team, you will work closely with fellow agency leaders to support the growth and sustainability of 18 Degrees in line with our mission, strategy and goals. Minimum of 8-10 years’ supervisory, program, and/or director-level leadership experience required; including working with local community agencies and employers in a human services capacity. Violin/Viola Teaching Artist

At 18 Degrees, we cultivate teams and leaders to embrace the principles of diversity, equity and inclusiveness to support the needs of our community. The Violin/Viola Teaching Artist will work 4-5 days per week in both our North Adams and Pittsfield sites. This teacher will lead beginning, intermediate, and advanced school-aged string ensembles and lessons focused on age-appropriate skill development for young musicians and building community through ensemble playing. Instruction also includes private and semi-private lessons. This teacher must also be able to engage and support youth families who are struggling with poverty and other stressors. Experience in violin or viola, teaching music, and a belief in music as a vehicle for social change is a must. Flexible schedule with some nights and weekends is required.
