School Liaison  – Family Resource Center


The School Liaison is an employee of 18 Degrees’ Family Resource Center (FRC) who works closely with local school districts to help family members of children navigate educational and school-related concerns and needs.  The role also works with school districts to identify family members that may be in need of family support services. The position connects families to services that meet their individual needs and ensures that there is a process established to provide information, referral, and direct assistance where possible.  This may include meetings with teachers, assistance with obtaining an Individual Education Plan (IEP), and meetings with other school personnel, as necessary. The School Liaison is also responsible for negotiating and implementing special events and other interagency activities that involve schools.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Knowledge of family supported work and experience working with school systems and/or educational resources, strongly preferred. Family Networks Service Coordinator

Clinician for Family Resource Center

Clinician Needed for Youth Programming in Pittsfield and North Adams


The ideal candidate is a dynamic, skilled, licensed clinician with experience working with adolescents and young adults.  STRONGLY PREFERRED:  Clinical experience with community, regional and multi-disciplinary approaches to trauma and violence through coordinated programs for prevention, intervention, and suppression with at-risk or proven risk youth and young adults. General Music Teacher (North Adams, MA Public Schools)


Part time, after school hours (roughly 3pm – 6pm; flexibility for 10-20 hours/week).  This role will work with elementary school students in an El Sistema based program for the North Adams Public Schools, and will design and implement a basic music learning curriculum for the program of up to 14 students.  Experience with a musical instrument (violin/viola/cello helpful, but not required); teaching music; and a belief in music as a vehicle for social change is a must.  A flexible schedule with some nights and weekends is required. String Teaching Artist – North Adams and Pittsfield


20 hours/week. The String Teaching Artist will be the Lead Teacher for our North Adams site (M, W, F) and a supporting Teaching Artist in our Pittsfield site (T and Th). This teacher will lead beginning and intermediate school-aged string ensembles and lessons focused on age appropriate skill development for young musicians and building community through ensemble playing. The Lead Teacher will schedule sectionals, pull out lessons, and work with the Artistic Director (and other teaching staff) to choose repertoire.  This teacher must also be able to engage and support youth families who are struggling with poverty and other stressors.   Experience in violin, viola, or cello, teaching music, and a belief in music as a vehicle for social change is a must.
