Services provided throughout Western, MA and beyond, including child and family assessments, specialized case management for children in foster care with goals of adoption and family assessment and support for prospective foster-to-adopt and kinship families.  Strong clinical and writing skills and relevant experience with children and families required.  Must work well within a team. Family and Child Support Program Coordinator – Intergenerational Treehouse Community


As part a dynamic, innovative team, the Family Support Coordinator (FSC) will provide and develop best practice trauma-informed services to meet the emerging needs of children and families living in the diverse Treehouse Community. Treehouse is an award-winning intergenerational community designed to promote permanency for children who have experienced foster care. Older adults in the Community volunteer their time to support families, children, and youth, often becoming “honorary grandparents.” The Treehouse FSC will offer foster/adoptive competent child, youth and family support services, including out of school time programming. This is a full time 37.5 hour position and requires capacity for some early evening and occasional weekend hours. Qualification Requirements: Education:  MSW/Master’s Degree preferred; Equivalent clinical, educational degree and experience will be considered. Required Experience: Knowledge/expertise in human development, attachment, trauma, loss, foster care and pre- through post-adoption issues. Demonstrated success with program development and implementation, creative use of resources.  Experience and training in working with diverse families and communities. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responding compassionately to emerging needs of families and transitional youth approaching adulthood and independence.

  • Documentation and evaluation of progress toward individual and program goals.
  • Solid computer and technology skills, including proficiency with video conferencing apps, such as Zoom and Caribou.
  • Ability to use technology creatively to promote connection, learning and independence.
  • Collaborating with partner organizations
  • Experience facilitating groups and working with different age groups, life stages and physical/mental abilities.
  • Personal experience with foster care and/or adoption is a plus.

Main responsibilities include: Responsibility for overall financial plans and accounting practices. Prepare and monitor organization budget. Oversee accounting and audit system controls and standards in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices. Ensure timely financial and statistical reports for management and board. Provide financial analyses and interpret financial data, recommending changes to improve systems and financial performance. Prepare contract budgets, working with program managers to achieve optimal cost recovery. Work with independent auditors to prepare annual financial statements and comply with state and federal reporting requirements; report on financial activities to management, the Board of Directors and outside funding sources. Direct Report(s): (3 FTE) Senior Accountant, Accounting Clerk, Payroll Clerk. Reports to the President and CEO. Qualifications:
  • Education Required: BA in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Minimum Required Experience: 8 years of progressive experience including minimum 3 years with non-profit grants/contracts, strategy and supervisory experience.
  • License(s): CPA helpful, but not required.

Youth Music Development Specialist (Part-Time)

Join our team as a Youth Music Development Specialist at Rap, Inc., a youth program that promotes teamwork, financial literacy and peer support using the art and business of hip hop as the vehicle. Part time, grant funded position utilizing virtual and in person small group sessions using distinct COVID 19 safety protocols. We are looking for a creative, passionate, reliable, out of the box thinker who can mentor youth. The right candidate will:
  • Have the drive and ability to connect and engage with youth.
  • Encourage collaboration in program activities including music, production, promotion, finance, and other group activities.
  • Be energetic, positive and able to relate well with others, have experience working with teens.
  • Collaborate with community members and industry advisors to help youth make impactful connections.
  • Work with the team to collect and evaluate data to assess project impact and effectiveness.
  • Have a flexible schedule (12- 15 hrs. per week) and ability to support the learning experiences of youth participants.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills, conflict resolution skills, and group facilitation skills.
  • Be able to work independently as well as with a team, strong communication skills.
  • Have at least a high school diploma (an associate degree is preferred) and a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.
